Georgia College and State University professor Allison Everett died in a three-car accident on Lake Laurel Road in Milledgeville.
It happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Everett's brother, David Black was in the car with her and also passed away. This is according to Baldwin County Coroner John Gonzales.
Gonzales says Everett's husband was driving the car. He was airlifted to the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon. 13WMAZ reached out to the hospital for an update on his condition. We have not heard back yet.
Gonzales could not give Information on the people in the other two cars involved.
When asked about the accident, Gonzales told 13WMAZ it was "absolutely terrible." He said it was one of the worst he has seen all year.
According to Georgia College's website, Everett taught exercise science courses.
