After being vacant for years, the former Winn Dixie location on Highway 96 will soon be home for a furniture store.
Co-owner Austin Turner says Turner's Furniture will hold a grand opening on October 3rd and the store's regular hours will start from there.
"We are excited to be here," he said about opening the location. "The community is great."
He added that the reception from folks in the area has been great so far.
The store is 103 years old with 10 locations around Georgia and one in Tallahassee, Florida.
At Wednesday's grand opening sale, visitors will have a chance to win up to $10,000 worth of free furniture. Turner says the event will begin around noon.
