FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Fort Valley Mayor Barbara B. Williams announced that she will not be running for mayor re-election in a Facebook post on Saturday.
She will instead be running for Utility Commission at-Large.
"The Economic Sustainability of our Utility Commission is just as critical to us as the Economic Sustainability of our City. One needs the other," she said in the post.
She says the city will be left in good hands.
