FORSYTH, Ga. — Chick-fil-A has announced when its first location in Monroe County will open its doors: next Thursday at 6:30 a.m.
The restaurant, located at 101 Industrial Park Road, will open its doors on Aug. 15, the company announced in a press release. The new Chick-fil-A also has easy access to I-75 since the restaurant is off Exit 185 where Hamlin Hills Farms is located.
The company says the location will feature a playground, a drive-thru and a dining room for customers can enjoy.
The Chick-fil-A location will employ roughly 90 people in both full-time and part-time positions. They are still looking for employees to join their team. The application for the position is here.
The company also says they are donating $25,000 to Feeding America to help feed hungry people in the Macon area. They also say they are "honoring 100 local heroes making an impact in the area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrees for a year."
The location will be owned by Nick Jones who they say has worked with Chick-fil-A since 1997 when he was 16 years old. They say he served in the National Guard since 2002.
They say the Forsyth location joins the company's roster of 15 Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Macon area.
