It's 'snow' joke: Folks bundle up to play in the snow at Middle Georgia Snow Day in Dublin

We might not get snow in the south, but the Dublin Lau Authority & Dublin Civitan Club found a way to make sure folks didn't get left out of the winter fun.

DUBLIN, Ga. — People in Dublin got to experience a little bit of snowy fun on Saturday during the first annual Middle Georgia Snow Day, hosted by Dublin Lau Authority and Dublin Civitan Club.

They gathered at the Dublin Civitan Fairgrounds to experience all the fun.

Folks could make snow angels, have snowball fights, build snowmen, and more! There was even a giant snow ramp for kids to sled down.

Plenty of people worked up an appetite running around in the winter wonderland, and could head straight to several food trucks at the event.

Superb Grill provided savory BBQ, Dexter Ice Cream was serving up comfort foods, and Snow Biz of Dublin was on site with sweet treats.

If you didn't want to play in the snow, there was also an area for carnival rides, as well as arts and vendors in a covered building.

There was also a petting zoo, and Santa himself came out to take pictures with everyone.
