All day breakfast coming downtown | Flying Biscuit Cafe coming to Macon

The restaurant says the exact date of their grand opening is still up in the air, but they plan on opening within the next year.

MACON, Ga. — Stuffed French toast, breakfast tacos and delicious biscuits are coming to Mulberry Street in downtown Macon early next year. That's because the Flying Biscuit Cafe is working to open its first location in Central Georgia.

The chain — which emphasizes its all-day breakfast menu —  was founded in Atlanta and has grown to over 25 locations.

"It's an experience. We serve southern comfort food with a side fun," Flying Biscuit's Marketing Director Heather Stennis said.

The location in Macon is being opened by the owner of the Flying Biscuit Cafe in Columbus, Georgia State Senator Jason Esteves. His location in Columbus has been in operation for roughly a year, Stennis said.

After doing well in Columbus, Stennis said Esteves saw Macon as an opportunity.

"Macon is a great market," Stennis said. "There's a lot of opportunity here. It's in construction, and we don't have an opening date. But we're very excited when we open to the public, it will be a week-dollar special."

While the exact items have not been determined, Stennis says they plan on reducing the price of a different lunch and breakfast item to a dollar each day, which is a good opportunity for the Flying Biscuit Cafe to introduce the community to their food.

And beyond their in-the-restaurant service, Stennis says they offer a lot more than just that, including catering options for a wide array of occasions.

"Our kitchen travels," Stennis said. "We offer full-service catering. It's great for office gatherings [and] schools."

While the restaurant's opening date is not yet set in stone, Stennis says that they plan to open in winter 2025.

Ahead of that, Stennis encourages people to follow the Macon location's Facebook to get everything you need to know about the opening date, opening special and more.

When they open up, Stennis has some dishes to recommend.

She says their chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, their breakfast tacos and their Flying Biscuit breakfast are all fan favorites.

The location will be located at 588 Mulberry Street in downtown Macon.
