The Flint River at the Taylor-Crawford County line rushes quickly as levels start to drop.
But due to the heavy rainfall this past week, where there used to be a parking lot and boat ramp is now completely underwater.
Now, Taylor County maintenance crews are making sure people stay away.
"We put these barricades up to prevent anyone from driving down in there," mechanic Tony Burns said.
Crews want to make sure people stay safe, especially with Memorial Day weekend coming up, meaning, now there will be no boating this weekend on the Flint River in Taylor County.
"I think they need to find something else to do," Burns said.
Ankle-deep water now lies where the parking lot in front of the boat ramp used to be, and the boat ramp itself is completely flooded out.
This is a sight that caused people driving through Taylor County to stop and stare.
"It' s crazy," Taylor county resident, Jacob Payne said.
"It gets like this not very often. We got a ridiculous current out there," Payne said, which will keep access to the river at the county line closed.
"You're supposed to be able to drive all the way down, way down there where that truck is crossing the bridge, you're supposed to be able to go down there," Burns said, pointing to the bridge about a quarter miles away on the highway that runs over the river.
This will keep people safe from the water, as the forecast continues to call for rain on Memorial Day weekend.
Taylor County Emergency Management Director, Gary Lowe says if you come across any roads that are impassible to call 911 and let them know your location so they can come close the road off.
