A vacant home is destroyed after a Saturday evening fire.
According to Battalion Chief Jeff Sanders with the Macon-Bibb Fire Department, crews received a call around 7:15 p.m.
When firefighters arrived at the home on Dexter Avenue, it was fully involved with flames.
Chief Sanders says the intensity of the fire also damaged the house next door, and a man inside that house was able to escape without injuries.
Crews are trying to determine where and how the blaze began.
