Fans flock to Middle Georgia Comic Con at the Macon Centreplex

There's opportunities to meet some of your favorite artists and writers, and there's even a video game tournament going on.

MACON, Ga. — Comic fans assemble!

This weekend is the annual Middle Georgia Comic Convention.

Saturday was day one, and there is something for everyone at Comic Con!

This year, the con has two days of events for lovers of board games, anime, dungeons and dragons, and more.

There are also opportunities to meet some of your favorite artists and writers from beloved cartoons and comics. There's even a video game tournament going on during the convention.

Matthias Stowers and autumn Rose Elias are vendors and convention goers.

They say conventions like these make them feel at home.

"A lot of the reason why I've loved going to cons like this is really just walking around and seeing people who are passionate about things, maybe not the same things as me but things in the same way that I am. Or even just like kids who are dressing up and getting into cosplay too, it's so amazing! They're so sweet!" they said.

Day 2 of the convention is on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the convention center on Coliseum Drive.

Adults admission costs 12 dollars for a single day pass, 20 for both days, and for kids 12 and under - it's free!
