Fall festival kicks off in Gordon as city celebrates 138th birthday

The festival included events like a tractor parade, live music, fireworks, and more.

GORDON, Ga. — Folks in Gordon on Saturday got the chance to have a fun family day out at the city's fall festival.

The celebration has been held annually for 22 years, and this year the opening festivities also included celebrating the city's 138th birthday.

There were also events like a tractor parade, live music, fireworks, and more.

There was lots of community engagement, and it was beautiful weather for folks to come celebrate while munching on turkey legs and other fair foods.

Fireworks were scheduled to start at 8 p.m. for everyone to watch, and until then acts like Matt McMillan and the City Limits, the Southern Pride Cloggers, the Grapevine Band, Victor Stripling, and more took the stage.

Kids could jump in bouncy houses and do crafts while parents walked around to lots of vendor booths.

Happy Birthday Gordon!
