Egg-celent Easter Events: Put some 'spring' in your step with these Easter celebrations across central Georgia

Lots of family fun is in store leading up to Easter Sunday.

MACON, Ga. — Easter is almost here! 

Central Georgia just hopped into spring, and you know what that means...Easter is right around the corner!

Here's a list of some egg hunts and Easter bashes in the area:

1) Easter Bash at Turning Point Community Church

Where: 1415 Bass Road in Macon

When: Saturday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

You can join members of Turning Point Community Church for a pancake breakfast, egg hunts, local vendors, and even an appearance from the Easter bunny! 

2) Easter Beauty Hunt

Where: Merle Norman and Day spa, 5437 Bowman Road in Macon

When: Saturday, March 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

You can hunt some eggs and get some glam at this beauty egg hunt! After a purchase, you can grab a basket and fill it up with as many eggs that will fit. Then you turn the basket in, and crack open your eggs to reveal the prizes you get to take home.

If you want to swing by and see what it's all about, no worries! Everyone can get one egg without a purchase. 

3) Easter Extravaganza

Where: 711 Key Street in Macon

When: Saturday, March 30 from 2 - 5 p.m. 

You can enjoy vendors, games, food trucks, face painting, music, and more at this event hosted by the VFW Post 9709 of Macon and Andrea Johnson Graham. Children ages 1-12 can split up in age groups to hunt candy filled eggs, so don't forget your Easter basket!

 4) Easter Party at Barks N' Brews

Where: 695 Riverside Drive in Macon

When: Saturday, March 30 at 12 p.m.

Pups can participate in an egg hunt just for them starting at noon. Large eggs with treats inside will be hidden around the park for furry friends to sniff out. Once they find an egg, you can remove the treat inside and place the empty egg in your basket. 

Some baskets will be provided, but organizers ask that you bring your own if possible so there is enough to go around. 

The pup with the most eggs at the end of the hunt will win a basket full of prizes!

The Easter bunny will also make an appearance, and you and your dog can snap photos with him from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Also, be sure to keep your dog leashed as you enter the park at noon.  

5) Glass Easter Bunny Experience at StARTup studios

Where: 1055 Riverside Drive in Macon

When: Saturday March 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 You can make your own glass Easter bunny to display in your home at this interactive workshop hosted by Startup Studios.

All materials and tools are provided, and the cost is $75 per person. After creating, the glass will cool overnight. It will be ready for pickup at 3 p.m. the following business day.

All participants must be 12 or older.

Alcohol will be available for purchase during the workshop. 

6) Pictures with the Easter Bunny

Where: 5000 Mercer University Drive in Macon

When: Saturday, March 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can hop on over to the Harley Davidson of Macon to get some pictures with the Easter bunny on a bike! There will be food, drinks, and lots of candy. 

There will also be a creative at station for kids to have fun at. The event is free for all who want to come. 

7) Easter Floral Design Class

Where: 168 Marshall Avenue in Macon

When: Wednesday, March 27 at 9 a.m. 

You ca learn to harness your flower decorating skills in this catered workshop hosted by Julie Dominy Floral Artistry.

 8) Easter Hunt Make & Take Workshop

Where: 6255 Zebulon Road, Suite 180 in Macon

When: Saturday, March 23 from 11 - 1 p.m. 

You can make a cute bunny trio at this workshop hosted by Board and Brush in Macon. They provide all materials, and kids can participate in an Easter egg hunt in the studio for a prize!

9) Easter Egg Giveaway at Monkey Joe's

Where: 4993 Russell Pkwy in Warner Robins

When:  Thursday, March 28 from 5 - 8 p.m. 

Kids and families can show up at Monkey Joe's for a night of Easter fun, where over 300 eggs will be given away.

There will also be Easter games and crafts, and a few special guests! The Easter Bunny and Monkey Joe will be making their rounds for pictures. 

And one lucky kid will receive a frequent jumper card!

10) Doggie Easter Basket Bar

Where: 91 Bass Road in Warner Robins

When: Friday, March 29 from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

You can come celebrate with Millie's Treats and The Cottages at Warner Robins with an Easter basket doggie bar.

Load up a basket full of treats for your furry friend.

11) Perry Leisure Services Special needs Egg Hunt

Where: Rozar Park in Perry

When: March 30 at 11 a.m.

The Perry Leisure Services are hosting a Special Needs Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at Rozar Park. It is free, and there will be eggs laid out in "zones designed specifically for special needs children and their families." 

There will also be vendors, family activities, and more.

Registration starts at 11 a.m., and the egg hunt will start at 11:30 a.m.
