Woman dead after crash at Interstate-75 South in south Bibb, sheriff's office says

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened around 2 p.m.

MACON, Ga. — A woman is dead after a fatal accident on Interstate 75 South in south Bibb on Saturday, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.

The release said the accident happened around 2 p.m. near Sardis Church Road.

Kaitlyn Hermans, 23, from Fort Valley was driving a Toyota Camry and collided with a man driving a Kia Sorento.

Hermans was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Leon Jones. Next of kin has been notified.

The man was transported to Atrium Navicent Health for his injuries and is in stable condition.

All lanes on Interstate 75 South were previously closed, but are now open.
