Dodge County teen sentenced to life for 2018 double murder

The three other teens charged in the couple's killing are still awaiting trial

CHESTER, Ga. — A Dodge County teen who admitted helping to kill an elderly couple was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison, with possible parole.

In 2018, four teenagers were charged with killing Wendell and Jain Williams in their Chester home.

Investigators said the couple was robbed and shot.

District Attorney Tim Vaughn says Gary Pennamon pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of malice murder and one count of armed robbery.

A Dodge County judge sentenced him to three concurrent life sentences. Vaughn says that means he'll be eligible for parole in 30 years.

Pennamon was 17 at the time of the killings.

Vaughn would not comment on what role he played, but says Pennamon made a confession about what role he and the others played.

The other three -- DeMarcus Blash, Martez Gordon and Kojak Thomas -- are still awaiting trial.
