The dead body of a homeless man was found in the Third Street park in downtown Macon Monday.
That's at the corner of Third and Cherry Streets.
According to Macon-Bibb Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, the victim, 53-year-old Charles Gregory Willis, was with a friend Sunday and complained of chest pains.
The friend tried to tell him he needs to go to the hospital, but he refused.
Miley said the friend went back to check on him Monday morning, but Willis didn't wake up.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said investigators found some paperwork belonging to Willis that indicated he used to live in Forest Park, Georgia.
He urged anyone with any information on Willis' family can call him at 478-256-6716 or Miley at 478-256-6714.
