District Attorney George Hartwig announced Friday afternoon that Warner Robins development director Gary Lee will not be charged for his alleged terroristic threats.
Hartwig says he came to that conclusion based on the GBI’s investigative case file on the Aug. 13 incident.
The memo from Hartwig to Special Agent J.T. Ricketson provides more information on the nature of the threat.
It says that several department heads and city employees were at a department directors meeting when Lee allegedly said, ‘I’m going to cut her head off,’ in reference to Housing Authority CEO Sheryl Frazier. Lee called Frazier two days after the meeting to apologize.
Hartwig’s memo says he saw no evidence that Lee’s alleged threat was made to terrorize Frazier who was not present and didn’t hear the comment.
With Hartwig’s decision not to present charges to the grand jury, the case is closed.
