CRISP COUNTY, Ga. — A Crisp County Deputy has been released from the hospital after hitting a tree on the way to a call on Wednesday night, according to a release from the Crisp County Sheriff’s Department.
The release said the deputy was driving to a domestic call for service at around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday night when the SUV hydroplaned and hit a tree. The deputy was taken to Crisp Regional Hospital and was cleared for release shortly after the crash.
“I am grateful the Deputy was uninjured, wind and heavy rainfall add to the dangerous dynamics associated with responding to calls of service,” Sheriff Hancock said.
