Over 50 different floats were featured, all representing the Perry community.

PERRY, Ga. — Folks in Perry welcomed the Christmas spirit today as the city hosted the Perry Christmas parade for the first time.

The parade began at 10 a.m. on Kellwood Drive, and continued to General Courtney Hodges Boulevard, and then ended on Macon Road via Carroll Street.

Over 50 different floats were featured, all representing different businesses and staples of the Perry community.

There were appearances by the Perry City Council, the Perry marching band, Paws in Middle Georgia Animal Rescue, the Veterans High School Warhawk Squadron, and many more.

There were also people who decorated their dogs for the event, and a few horses walked through as well.

And of course there was plenty of candy!
