FORSYTH, Ga. — The city of Forsyth issued a public notice on Facebook Thursday morning, asking residents to conserve water use as much as possible.
They said that due to recent severe weather, the city's treatment plant has exceeded it's designed capabilities and now has limited production ability.
They also said that the additional severe weather headed our way into the weekend could worsen their current challenges of production.
They said that water conservation efforts "by all households, and businesses will give the city the best opportunity to fulfill our customers' most critical water needs through these events."
They asked that until further notice, all people:
- Don't water their lawns, gardens, or plants, etc.
- Don't wash their vehicles
- Only wash laundry and dishes when absolutely necessary
- Shorten showering time and reduce bath tub filling
- turn off water when brushing your teeth
They said an update will be posted when the restrictions are lifted.
