MACON, Ga. — President Donald Trump recognized a Central Georgia man this month.
Edward Timley received the President's Volunteer Service Award.
"It made me feel more appreciated, not only in work, but out in society, make me feel what a good-hearted person will do, and that's me," Timley said.
The White House sent Timley a letter from the President -- a certificate and a lapel pin.
Timley works at Goodwill of Middle Georgia where he is a custodial manager.
In his free time, he gives free haircuts to kids and speaks at a local transitional house.
The letter read, in part, "On behalf of a grateful nation, I thank you for your service to your fellow Americans and those most in need."
