Central Georgia's first CarMax opened in Warner Robins last week.
The dealership opened its doors to the community about a week and a half ago on June 27, according to General Manager, Justin Collins.
"The community has really come out to show us a lot of love," he said about business so far. "We've been very blessed with the level of support we've had from the community."
Collins says CarMax is set apart from other car dealerships because of its no-haggle pricing.
He added that it is up to the customer whether they would like to navigate themselves through the process or have an associate guide them the entire way.
The associates at CarMax are trained to help the customer have a fun experience while picking out a car.
"That's one of the pillars that we are built on as a company," Collins said.
He says the Warner Robins location has about every make and model on its lot with a total of 180 cars.
"We have 193 locations around the country, so we can transfer a car from any of our locations," he said. "It turns this lot from 180 to 45,000."
There is a 5-day money-back guarantee and a 90-day warranty on each car.
Collins says CarMax chose this location because of the rapid growth Warner Robins has recently experienced and that the company was able to find a prime location to place the new store.
Collins is from East Atlanta and has been with the company for over 10 years. He met his wife while working for CarMax and they have a 2-year-old daughter.
"So if I'm not here, I'm probably at home having a tea party," he said about his life as a family man.
