FORT VALLEY, Ga. — The American Camellia Society came together on Saturday for a special ceremony - the crowning of the first ever Camellia Queen.
Miss Isabelle Airey received the honor.
Airey will be traveling to Montgomery Alabama next week to represent the society during the College Football Camellia Bowl.
"With my newfound role as the American Camellia Society Queen, I hope to establish excitement with my generation regarding the growth of camellias. as a college student at the University of Alabama, I hope to start a camellia club and share my love for camellias around campus," she said.
The Camellia bowl will take place next Saturday in Montgomery, Alabama.
