YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The Hall family has been growing fruits and vegetables on their York County farm for decades, offering delicious, fresh produce for the entire Charlotte area.
Bush-N-Vine Farm was opened by Bob Hall in 1979. Today, his son Sam runs the operation, growing just about everything you can think of during the lengthy Carolina growing season.
They cover all the bases when it comes to variety. We're talking about tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, corn, squash, zucchini, and of course, okra. Fruit selection at Bush-N-Vine is exceptional, too. You'll find blackberries, nectarines, strawberries, watermelon and peaches as far as the eye can see.
They also grow a very special cantaloupe at Bush-N-Vine that you can't find anywhere else. They're known as Athena cantaloupes, and they also have the sugar cube cantaloupe, which isn't much bigger than a ripe tomato. But they're oh so sweet and juicy, you simply have to try them to believe it!
The York location is one from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, they're open 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Bush-N-Vine also has locations in Rock Hill and Lake Wylie. Click here for more information.
