(UPDATE 5:50 P.M.) Edwards was found hiding at a dump site by a Washington County deputy and is now back in state custody.

The Georgia Department of Corrections reported Tuesday afternoon that an inmate escaped from Washington State Prison in Davisboro.
According to GDOC, Nathaniel Edwards Jr. walked off work detail around 12:30 p.m.
If you see him, do not approach him. Call 911.
