Bibb deputies arrested 5 people for carjacking and armed robbery Wednesday morning.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 18-year-old Twayne Jafar Rainey was arrested at a home on 3365 Flamingo Drive just after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Rainey was wanted for motor vehicle hijacking and armed robbery for a March 11 incident that happened at Pendleton Homes on 3401 Houston Avenue. While at the home, deputies also arrested 20-year-old Deshafore Deandre Hicks, 19-year-old Timshad Jahard Hughes, 19-year-old Amore Calhoun, and 18-year-old Dequavia Benard Pollard.

Deputies recovered marijuana and two stolen guns from the home.

All suspects were taken to the Bibb County jail for questioning. Hicks was found to be involved in the aggravated assault of Travis Lewis on January 1 at the C Mini Mart located at 3380 Houston Avenue.

Arrested were the following:

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm doing a commission of a felony, Theft by receiving (2 counts Firearm)

(Case: Houston Ave) Motor vehicle hijacking and armed robbery

Deshafore Deandre Hicks 20 years old, Macon

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm doing a commission of a felony, Theft by receiving (2 counts Firearm)

(Case: Houston Ave incident) Criminal Attempt to commit a felony (murder).

Timshad Jahard Hughes 19 years old, Macon

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute Possession of a firearm doing a commission of a felony Theft by receiving (2 counts Firearm)

Amore Jaquan Calhoun 19 years old, Macon

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm doing a commission of a felony, Theft by receiving (2 counts Firearm)

Dequavia Benard Pollard 18 years old, Macon

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm doing a commission of a felony, Theft by receiving (2 counts Firearm)
