Bibb County trying to restore its network after apparent cyber attack over the weekend

County spokesman Chris Floore said they're bringing the system back up, but slowly.

MACON, Ga. — As of noon on Tuesday, Bibb County is trying to get its network and websites up and running after an apparent cyber attack over the weekend.

County spokesman Chris Floore said they took the network offline out of quote "an abundance of caution."

Tuesday morning Bibb County Commissioners met in a closed session to discuss the hack and what they're doing about it.

Floore said they're bringing the system back up, but slowly.

One place feeling the impact is Superior Court, which says they can't process documents or take online payments right now.

The Anytime Bail Bond Company told us they haven't been able to process bonds for four days, so some suspects are stuck in jail for now.

A caller also told us that the county tag office is also closed, frustrating a steady stream of customers.

13WMAZ will have more information on the county hack tonight at 5 and 6 p.m.
