MACON, Ga. — Bibb County deputies are investigating after two Macon businesses on the same street were robbed Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
Both robberies happened on Pio Nono Avenue.
The first robbery happened at the Metro PCS store just before 7:44 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
A release from the sheriff's office said two men with guns came into the store and demanded money from the two employees. After taking an unknown amount of cash, both suspects ran away.
No one was hurt during this robbery, and the suspects are described as man wearing dark clothing with their faces covered, the release said.
The second robbery happened at the Waffle House just after 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, according to another release.
The release from the sheriff's office said one man entered the store. He hit a male employee on the head with a gun while demanding money from two female employees.
After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot, the release said. The male employee was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect for this robbery is described as a man wearing a dark-colored hoodie and a blue bandanna covering his face.
Both robberies are still under investigation.
