MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men in connection with a burglary investigation, according to a release.
They say on January 23 at around 9 a.m., deputies got a call about two men breaking into the California Cereal Products warehouse located at 4375 Mead Road in Macon.
Deputies pursued the men and discovered a trail of footprints leading to one of the suspects, who was armed with a handgun. They arrested the suspect and went on to look for the other.
The second man was found hiding inside a sewer and was then arrested.
The men were identified as 37-year-old Joseph Seth Sheriff and 56-year-old Johnny Frank Larson. Both of them were taken to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office for questioning, and Larson was taken to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment.
They were then taken to the Bibb Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Center, where they were denied bond.
Sheriff is charged with First-Degree Burglary, Possession of Tools for Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Probation Violation. He was also wanted in Houston County.
Johnny Frank Larson faces charges of Second-Degree Burglary and Possession of Tools for Commission of a Crime.
