ATLANTA — The Hawks are moving forward in the offseason, and their next stop is the NBA 2K25 Las Vegas Summer League.
Atlanta announced its roster for summer league on Monday, which is helmed by the Hawks' assistant coach Ronald Nored. The roster is headlined by 2024 No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher, who will be seeing his first action in a Hawks uniform.
The roster also features 2023 first round draft pick Kobe Bufkin, and 2024 second round pick Nikola Đjurišić. Bufkin - who played for Michigan in college - averaged 4.8 points and 1.6 assists in 17 games with the Hawks this past year.
Another player who suited up for the Hawks this past season is center Mouhamed Gueye, who will join them on the summer league team. Gueye averaged 4 points and 3.7 rebounds over six games, and spent most of the season with the Hawks’ G-League team, the College Park Skyhawks.
The summer league roster has another six players who played for the Skyhawks this past season.
Miles Norris, Jarkel Joiner, Rob Baker II, Jordan Bowden, Emmitt Matthews Jr. and Keaton Wallace will all make the leap from the Skyhawks to the Hawks’ summer league team.
To fill out the roster, the Hawks signed undrafted free agent Moses Wood out of Washington. Wood signed with the Hawks on June 29, the day after the NBA draft ended. The Hawks also signed Nick Ongenda, who played for the Utah Jazz’s G-League team last season.
The final member of the summer league team is Dylan Windler. Windler was a first round pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2019, but hasn’t played more than 50 games in a season during his career.
He signed with the Hawks on March 4, and played six games with Atlanta this past year, averaging 4.7 points and 2 rebounds.
The Hawks’ summer league schedule begins on July 12 with a matchup against Washington Wizards. They’ll follow it up on July 14 by facing 2024 No. 4 pick Stephon Castle and the San Antonio Spurs.
Before ending their Las Vegas play, they’ll face Bronny James - the son of NBA great LeBron James - and the Los Angeles Lakers on July 17. The Hawks’ final stop in Las Vegas will be a matchup against the Chicago Bulls on July 19.
