MACON, Ga. — A man who was shot at a Macon convenience store on April 7 has died from his injuries, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
Jones says 64-year-old Robert Pleasant was shot at Gary’s Shop N Save located at 4691 Log Cabin Drive. Pleasant was pronounced dead on Monday, April 15.
25-year-old Edwardo Eugene Bigelow Jr. was arrested on April 7 and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was denied.
He now faces a murder charge following Pleasant’s death on April 15.
According to the incident report, the pair got into an argument after Pleasant refused to sell Bigelow a Black and Mild without an ID. Pleasant asked Bigelow to leave the store.
Bigelow went out to his car and got a gun and put it in his waistband before going back into the store to confront Pleasant again.
The pair got into fight that resulted in Bigelow shooting Pleasant one time in the stomach, according to the report.
