State and Bibb County leaders announced Wednesday that a tissue/paper products company is building a $400 million Macon plant bringing 200 permanent jobs.
The company, Consumer Products Limited, according to its website is "one of North America's leading manufacturers of premium quality private label and store brand household paper products, baby diapers, and children's training pants."
The plant is under construction near the Kumho tire plant off of Sardis Church Road. It's set to be completed in 2019.
Wednesday's announcement was made at Terminal Station in downtown Macon.
