A man who stabbed his wife several times outside a Houston Avenue home in 2017 pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, family violence and kidnapping Tuesday.
According to the Office of the District Attorney, Emanuel Dewayne Williams, Sr., 39, was sentenced to 20 years Wednesday, with seven to serve in prison.
In March 2017, Bibb County deputies were sent to Pendleton Homes after getting multiple 911 calls about a person being cut.
When the deputies arrived, Williams' wife begged for help, saying he was trying to kill her. She had cuts on her face and hands. Her clothes were soaked in blood.
Williams also pleaded guilty to violating his probation on a 2015 conviction for failure to register as a sex offender.
