26-year-old man hit and killed on I-475 in Macon

The man had crashed his car and was attempting to walk across the interstate, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's office.

MACON, Ga. — A man is dead after a crash I-475 southbound in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

26-year-old Devonte Levon Kyles lost control of his Nissan Kicks and hit the center median near Eisenhower Parkway. He got out of his car after the crash and attempted to walk across the interstate. 

A 36-year-old man driving a Subaru Outback was driving south in the center lane when he hit Kyles who was walking across the road. Kyles was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash. 13WMAZ will update when additional information is made available.

The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information can call the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
