26 new Macon-Bibb firefighters sworn in at Central Georgia Tech

The class valedictorian was Kashai Sanchez.

MACON, Ga. — The Macon-Bibb County Fire Department welcomed new firefighters to its team Friday afternoon.

26 graduated in a ceremony at Central Georgia Tech in Macon at 1 p.m.

Each firefighter took the oath of office as Interim Fire Chief Shane Edwards swore them in.

Mayor Lester Miller was there to speak to the graduates and to wish them well. Congratulations, Recruit Class of Summer 2021!
