FORT VALLEY, Ga. — In Fort Valley, kids can get early Christmas gifts and meet a two-time Super Bowl champion.
The Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence is partnering with former NFL legend Tyrone Poole and his 38 Foundation to offer folks in the area some cool gifts and prizes for the holidays.
This is part of the Youth Center's Open House initiative over on Riley Avenue in Fort Valley.
You can meet Poole, take photos with Santa, and register for some cool prizes.
The center says they also want anyone who is eligible to volunteer at the program.
Poole says he wants to build a positive environment for youths during the holidays.
"We are presenting ourselves in front of these youths as mentors," Poole says. "We want them to know they are better than what they are and that we see something greater in them."
The Fort Valley youth center encourages all parents to sign their children up for the program, which you can do on their website.
