CORDELE, Ga. — A 19-year-old facing multiple charges was arrested at a Cordele hotel Thursday, according to a press release from the Crips County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office had been looking for 19-year-old Ajaylon Gray since September. He was facing both city and county warrants, the sheriff's office said.
On Thursday afternoon, authorities arrested Gray at the Travel Lodge in Cordele without incident. They arrested him at around 11:15 a.m. with the help of the U.S. Marshal Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the press release said.
In a wanted poster, the sheriff's office says Gray was wanted for five felony charges — including two counts of aggravated assault — along with two misdemeanors and a bench warrant.
Along with the two counts of aggravated assault, Gray was charged with: two misdemeanor counts of underage possession of a handgun, two felony counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and felony counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree.
It is unclear where the charges are stemming from.
