MACON, Ga. — During the month of November, 13WMAZ partnered with local organizations making a difference in Central Georgia as part of our Give Thanks campaign.
Because of your generosity, we raised nearly $5,000 across the four organizations.
Over the course of the month, we shared the great work of two groups helping young people stay on track and make better choices, the Mentor’s Project of Bibb County and The Pace Center for Girls.
The Volunteers of America Southeast help Central Georgia’s veterans find housing and the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank fights hunger and food insecurity in 24 Central Georgia counties.
Once again, Central Georgians showed they have the biggest hearts. Here is a look at the total contributions for each organization:
- The Mentor’s Project of Bibb County: $681.28
- Volunteers of America Southeast: $1,155.05
- The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank: $1,335 in addition to donation given on Stuff the Truck day.
- The Pace Center for Girls: $769
13WMAZ matched the first $250 dollars in donations for each organization. The total amount raised for the four organizations was $4,940.33.
Thank you so much Central Georgia.
