Across America on Thursday, students participated in the annual event, Read for the Record.

Adults read to kids, to try and break the record for the largest shared reading experience--again.

13WMAZ, the United Way and volunteers from 14 counties are working together to make sure kids in Central Georgia are turning the pages.

We asked you to go out into your community and volunteer your time reading to students. We asked you to donate to the cause -- online and on the air.

So we wanted to do our part. Our team mobilized and visited schools all around Central Georgia, from Macon to Dublin to Warner Robins.

Here's a look at our 13WMAZ family reading for the record.
