JONES COUNTY, Ga. — The Jones County Girl Scouts used their green thumbs on Saturday to beautify a dog park in the area.
The county is in the beginning stages of the dog park and hasn't started landscaping as yet.
So the girls decided to plant eight trees surrounding the park. They worked together to dig the holes and put the trees in the ground.
This is a part of a service project to help give dogs shade during hotter days.
"We can plant trees, because they are getting torn down left and right, and for our dog park I think it will help the dogs," the girls said.
The troop says they love doing projects like this, because they enjoy helping others.
