This past week, Central Georgia helped out their furloughed federal workers

2. Middle Ga. Food bank offers boxes of food to furloughed workers

The food bank is helping workers from all 24 counties throughout Central Georgia.

4. Perry family makes its own snow day

One family decided to take advantage of the cold temperatures to make a winter wonderland.

5. Students head 'Into Orbit' for robotics tournament at Museum of Aviation

The students had to build robots out of LEGO blocks. 

6. Mercer gets new grant to help students further Black History research

The $2,000 grant will help students continue to interview descendants of slaves on St. Simons Island and in other places in Georgia.

7. Impressive flower arrangements shown at 8th annual Old City Flower Festival

People in Macon took some time to smell the roses at the 8th annual Old City Flower Festival, hosted by Centenary United Methodist Church on College Street.
