MACON, Ga. — Here is a list of some communities in Central Georgia that are setting a curfew as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
- Baldwin County has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. until further notice. They declared a state of emergency on March 22.
- Dodge County and the City of Eastman have a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for all nonessential travel until at least April 20. They have issued a state of emergency.
- Dooly County has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. until further notice. They declared a local emergency effective March 24.
- The City of Dublin has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. They issued a state of emergency effective at least until April 7.
- Hancock County and Sparta has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. They declared a state of emergency on March 24.
- Johnson County has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. This covers Adrian, Kite and Wrightsville.
- Laurens County has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. until further notice. They declared a state of emergency on March 19.
- Macon County's curfew is from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Peach County's has set a curfew between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Their state of emergency will expire on April 6.
- Pulaski County has set a curfew between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The end date was not set, but the state of emergency declaration limits social gatherings with more than 10 people.
- The City of Unadilla says residents are to be in their homes by 10 p.m. and remain there until 7 a.m. until March 31.
- Twiggs County has set a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. until at least April 6.
- Washington County has a curfew set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. until further notice. They have issued a state of emergency.
A few communities have declared a state of emergency, but have NOT issued a curfew.
- The City of Gray's declaration stops gatherings of 10 or more, limits restaurants to use only curb-side pick-up or drive-thru services, and states that no city utility service would be disconnected because of non-payment.
- Warner Robins' declaration stops gatherings of 10 or more people and encourages restaurants to offer take out and curbside pickup options.
- Macon-Bibb County's declaration also limits gatherings to 10 people or less and closes businesses that offer body care services.
- Perry implemented emergency measures that include not cutting off utilities during the pandemic.
- Putnam County's declaration prohibits gatherings of 10 or more people, encourages restaurants to offer curbside pick-up or take-out, and closes businesses offering body care services.
