Approximately 5.4 million bottles of clog removers are being recalled over concerns that the bottles are not child resistant.
The Clorox Company is voluntarily recalling those bottles of Liquid-Plumr because children may be able to remove the cap and come in contact with the liquid, which could cause chemical burns and skin and eye irritation.
"These products contain sodium hydroxide which is required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act to be sealed with child-resistant packaging," the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said in a statement.
The recall includes:
Liquid-Plumr Pro-Strength Foaming Clog Fighter, 17 oz. (formerly Slow Flow Fighter)

UPC: 44600-00214
Liquid-Plumr Pro-Strength Urgent Clear, 17 oz.

The items were also sold online at amazon.com, drugstore.com, and quidsi.com.
Only bottles made before March 22, 2016 are impacted by the recall.
According to the (CPSC), Clorox has received 221 reports of bottles that leaked and eight reports of child-resistant caps "not working as intended."
