Dublin Police: Drug deal led to fatal shooting

The shooting happened overnight on Tuesday.

UPDATE, 8:15 p.m.:

According to Dublin Police Chief Tim Chatman, the third suspect, 21-year-old Gerez Duty, is now in custody. No more information was given.

Dublin Police Chief Tim Chatman says a fatal shooting this week resulted from a drug deal that turned into a robbery.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of N. Calhoun Street and Sunset Drive. 

McKerick Guyton, 28, died and two others were flown to a Macon hospital. 

Chatman says Jaswain Bell, 18, is charged with murder and he is currently still at a local hospital recovering from injuries he sustained during the shooting. 

Jerrell Terry, 23, is charged with party to the crime of murder and was arrested shortly after the crime happened. 

He added that police are still looking for Gerez Duty, 21.
