Warner Robins Police Department: 35-year-old man was acting in self-defense in Tuesday night shooting

The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. on Randy Circle in Warner Robins.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Warner Robins Police Department has released additional details about a fight that led to one man being shot on Tuesday night on Randy Circle.

They say a fight between 33-year-old Aundre Pope and a 35-year-old Lamarcus Graves ended with Pope being shot. It happened in a subdivision just off of Russell Parkway, and not far from the intersection of Russell Parkway and Corder Road just after 8 p.m. 

They have now determined that Graves shot Pope in self-defense. 

According to the release, Pope forced his way into the home at 234 Randy Circle and it was a continuation of a previous fight that happened at the home. 

Graves will not be charged with any crimes at this time. Pope is currently in the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing and could still result in criminal charges.
