WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A Warner Robins businessman is facing 19 criminal charges after he was indicted Tuesday. A Houston County Grand Jury indicted Logan Simmons on 17 counts of theft by conversion.
Simmons has worked with auto body shops in Warner Robins and has been accused of taking payment without ever fixing the cars. He was accused of not fixing one man's car back in 2022.
He was arrested then on five counts of theft. Tuesday's indictment adds a dozen more.
Cindy Green brought her Nissan Sentra to Logan Simmons' shop Oct. 3 and it still sits there today.
"Three, four weeks went by and I started asking him 'What's going on with my car. I need my car back as soon as possible. What's taking so long?' He start telling me your car need this, that, the other. I said 'Okay, I'll be patient and try to hang in there,'" Green said.
The patience soon turned to skepticism when Green started doing research
"Thank god I did not give him my cash upfront like most customers did," Green said.
Green said Simmons has been aggressive and rude throughout this process.
"I went in the office. We went back and forth. He start cussing in front of me baby. I left. I said 'You don't cuss at me front of my baby.' I left at that point and that's when he sent me a threatening text calling me b's, rude things, [like] 'you're dumb and ignorant,'" Green said.
Green was glad to hear about Simmons' arrest and indictment.
"I'm glad finally that he's been indicted and it got to stop. I mean he's got no trust whatsoever in the community. This is terrible to go so long like this without nothing being done," Green said.
Green said this experience has become a nightmare but she's learned an important lesson.
"Do not trust this man. Find you a shop that got four to five stars, that got a good history," Green said. "Know who you're doing business with."
