WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man has been arrested in Warner Robins after he barricaded himself in a home in the 300 block of Ashby Way with a 1-year-old child, according to a release from the Warner Robins Police Department.
Just after midnight, police responded to a call about a violation of a protection order. The officers on the scene attempted to contact 27-year-old Zachary Bridges, whose wife held the order. He then barricaded himself inside the home with the baby.
WRPD SWAT and the crisis negotiations team arrived on the scene. They also reached out to Middle Flint Behavioral Health and the Georgia Crisis and Access Line to aid in negotiating with Bridges.
Police shut down roads around Ashby Way at Valley View Drive during this time. The area has since reopened. Bridges eventually gave up allowing them to get the baby to safety at around 3 a.m. on Friday.
Bridges has been charged with Aggravated Stalking, Family Violence, Criminal Trespassing and a few other charges.
