MACON, Ga. — Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a teen in a Planet Fitness parking lot in Macon, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened on April 27 just before 2 a.m. in the parking lot of Planet Fitness on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard.
17-year-old Sha'quvas Dean was shot and taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.
21-year-old Daeshawn Markell Hardwick and 20-year-old Jaylon Emanuel Stephens were arrested on May 3 at a home on Swan Drive just after 5 a.m.
They were both taken to the Bibb County Jail. Hardwick has been charged with murder. Stephens was already wanted in Bibb County for 7 counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, 2 counts of criminal street gang activity and aggravated assault. He is also charged with murder in the death of Dean.
