COLUMBIA, S.C. — A teen wanted in a deadly July 4 shooting in Columbia has been arrested roughly 170 miles away in Georgia, police say.

The shooting happened at Woodland Terrace Apartments in the 300 block of South Beltline Boulevard around 3 p.m. on Thursday. Police said the male victim was taken to an area hospital but died a short time later. Officers spent several hours at the scene collecting evidence and asking witnesses to come forward with information.

Police have since said the shooting stemmed from an argument between acquaintances.
