WASHINGTON — A 2-year-old Shih Tzu named Theo has been safely reunited with his owner, after he was stolen from a car Saturday. However, police are still searching for the thief.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Theo was left in a parked car, along with the owner's purse, just before 1 p.m. in the 1900 block of M Street, Southeast.

When the owner returned, they found both Theo and their purse missing.
