Rapper 21 Savage paying for funeral of 3-year-old shot to death in his mother's backseat

T'rhigi Romell Diggs was killed Easter Sunday night by what police believe is a random shot fired from a nearby gas station.

ATLANTA - Rapper 21 Savage is paying for the Saturday funeral of a 3-year-old boy shot to death in his mother’s backseat.

Services begin at noon for T'rhigi Romell Diggs, who was killed late on the night of April 1 by what police believe could have been a random shot fired from a nearby gas station.

Police said the boy’s mother, Roshanda Craig, was driving down Eastland Road in DeKalb County when a gray Dodge Charger pulled up next to her. Originally, police said the bullet that killed the child came from that car, but now believe the fatal shot came from a Texaco gas station at the corner of Bouldercrest and Eastland roads.

Police still want to speak with the passengers of the passing car, but as of now, they’re not considered suspects.

Police also have released video they believe shows other people, thought to be bystanders, inside the gas station near where the bullets were fired.

A later clip shoes a third person walking to the door and then quickly ducking and backing away from the entrance. The second man to walk in appears unfazed and walks past the fleeing witness and into the parking lot – apparently following a female witness already outside.

T'rhigi’s funeral is being held at Israel M.B. Church, 2071 Hosea L Williams Drive in Atlanta.
