PUTNAM COUNTY, Georgia — A Putnam County man has been charged after agents found him in possession of child sexual abuse material, according to a release from the GBI.
46-year-old Jamey Allen Nichols, of Eatonton, was charged with 11 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children. Additional charges are expected.
The GBI began an investigation into Nichols' internet activity after getting multiple CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
During a search of Nichols’ home GBI agents seized multiple electronic devices. Nichols was then arrested after the devices were examined.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office aided in the search warrant and subsequent arrest. He was taken into custody at the Putnam County Jail.
